Immigrants play a central role in the U.S. economy yet they often face higher unemployment rates and work low-wage jobs with minimal to no benefits. This policy brief includes steps that local leaders can take to create a community of belonging, combat anti-Asian hate, and support small businesses in their community. It recommends that local leaders denounce Anti-Asian hate and violence, aiding in small business relief grants, and supporting organizations that provide direct services to immigrants and refugees.
