This ordinance requires owners of affordable housing units to provide tenants a written notice at least 30 days prior to filing an eviction action alleging non-payment of rent or material breach of a lease. Additionally, it prohibits owners of affordable housing units from issuing a notice of nonrenewal of tenancy unless the owner is able to establish certain grounds for such action (i.e. non-payment of rent, occupancy by property owner or family member, building demolishment, etc).
