This report outlines a performance-based typology which communities can use to evaluate the performance of their local transit zones. It includes policy recommendations and case studies that demonstrate the implementation of different typologies. It finds that transit stations in TOD zones tended to outperform those in non-TOD areas, that low vehicle miles traveled (VMT) transit zones tend to have lower transportation costs better proximity to employment.
