Texas Leaders Must Invest in Our State Agencies: We Deserve Effective State Health Care and Food Security Programs

Throughout Texas and many other states, families face significant delays in getting welfare benefits and Medicaid. This is exacerbated by chronic underfunding and understaffing. This fact sheet details some ways that state agencies can implement new incentives to retain staff and advocates for state policymakers to take action to fully fund state agencies, in order to properly address the needs of the population.
