Ensuring the High Road in Cannabis

As federal and state governments move toward marijuana legalization, labor conditions within the industry need to be evaluated. Currently, many of the employers in the marijuana industry take a "low road" approach to their workforce, with low wages, poor to no benefits, and frequent use of independent contractor. This report presents the case for marijuana legalization to be paired with high road labor strategies and industry-wide unionization in order to improve productivity, wages, benefits, and workforce stability.
