A Homes Guarantee outlines that everyone living in the United States should have safe, accessible, sustainable, and permanently affordable housing. This proposal outlines steps the federal government needs to take to eradicate housing insecurity and homelessness in America; these steps include, but are not limited to, building 12 million social housing units, reinvesting in existing public housing, protecting renters and bank tenants, paying reparations for centuries of racist housing policies, and ending land/real estate speculation and de-commodifying housing.
