Culver City Police Department Policy Regarding ICE Detainer Requests and the Reporting of Undocumented Immigrants

This policy states that the Culver City Police Department will not honor ICE detainer requests unless a Federal Probable Cause hearing has occurred. It also prohibits officers from reporting suspected undocumented immigrants to ICE unless circumstances indicate such reporting as reasonably necessary. Lastly, it prohibits the Culver City Police Department from independently conducting sweeps to detain suspected undocumented aliens.
