Safety & Justice in Policing Roadmap

ProGov21's Safety & Justice in Policing Roadmap provides resources and information to aid local governments in rethinking their strategies towards crime reduction. In particular, it suggests progressive police reform that (1) acknowledges that punitive actions and armed responses cannot adequately address social problems; (2) deploys police in ways that can effectively promote public safety, rather than as a one-size-fits all solutions; and (3) re-provisions resources from policing and the prison-industrial complex toward welfare and social service programs.
