: A Call to Invest in Community Power: Lessons from 10 Years of California Climate Investments for the State and the Nation

California Climate Investments (CCI) is a climate funding initiative promoting equitable environmental and climate policy. This report examines CCI's performance over the last ten years and provides best practices for future climate investments. Strategies include leading with race-conscious solutions that center impacted communities, investing in community organizing and capacity building, and making the reduction of local pollution burden a co-equal goal with decreasing Greenhouse Gasses (GHGs).
