Early childhood education preparation varies widely across the higher education industry. Multiple programs with differing curriculums suggest similar outcomes but produce highly variable levels of preparedness. This report focuses on the education landscape of early-childhood-education higher education programs in Maryland, by assessing what skills and knowledge students are taught. Additionally, education quality is assessed by analyzing its adaptability to new knowledge about child learning, optimal development, and other metrics pertinent to children education.
