Chicago Building Energy Use Benchmarking Ordinance

This act establishes the Chicago building energy benchmarking program. Each building owner shall report benchmarking information including building identification number, address, square footage, energy performance score, energy use intensity, and annual greenhouse gas emissions. Each tenant of a unit in a covered building shall provide all information that cannot otherwise be acquired by the building owner.
