This report addresses the disparities in access to fresh, healthy food within cities. In order to improve public health and benefit the local economy, city governments can use strategies like farmers markets, community supported agriculture, and urban agriculture programs to increase access to healthy food. Future research and policy coordination focus on enhanced local food capacities and improving food security for all community members.
