Climate action planning includes a wide variety of strategies, such as establishing greenhouse gas inventories, forecasting future emissions, adopting sustainable land use policies, and measures to improve energy efficiency. The City of Carson, in collaboration with the South Bay Cities Council of Governments, developed a Climate Action Plan (CAP) to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This plan sets emission reduction goals and implementation strategies to create a more livable, equitable, and economically vibrant community. The CAP identifies strategies across various sectors such as transportation, land use, energy, water, and waste management.
