This paper outlines the ways in which transportation, health, and healthcare are interrelated. In particular, it describes how a lack of access to transportation can cause poor health outcomes and high healthcare costs. To mitigate this challenge, this report calls on public agencies to implement a Health in All Policies (HiAP) framework when crafting transportation and health policies.
