Type Policy Brief or Report

Policy Areas Data & Technology, Education
Technical, operational, and social challenges limit the adoption and effectiveness of AI in K-12 education. AI is changing the landscape of digital literacy, data privacy, and educational equity as well as the need for federal guidance and funding to support technological integration in schools. School districts should develop long-range plans to build digital capacity, improve data quality, and ameliorate stakeholder concerns while ensuring equitable access to AI technologies and providing continuous support and training for educators.
