The transportation sector in Ohio accounts for 24.9% of all energy consumed in the state and the resulting carbon emissions harm Ohioans' health. This report supports the development of sustainable, equitable clean transportation strategy and efficient public transit systems and provides best practices for clean transportation. It recommends examining different community characteristics across the state to address place-based transportation needs, measuring transit access through transit frequency to reduce barriers to economic security, and increasing funding for public transit.
