Type Roadmap
Year 2022
Level City or Town, County
State(s) All States
Policy Areas Economic Justice, Health, Housing
The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated the existing American housing crisis. Now, more than ever, it is critical that local governments address the intersection of housing and health and fight forced displacement from housing to protect the economic, social, and physical wellbeing of their community. ProGov21's updated Housing Roadmap calls on policymakers to establish a right to housing, reduce evictions and foreclosures, empower tenants through organizing and rent control, and end homelessness through permanent supportive housing, in order to recover from the COVID-19 housing crisis.
