Community leaders should engage in comprehensive local action to reduce health disparities and address social determinants of health in their communities. The Legacy Community Alliance for Health provides training and resources to municipal staff across Wisconsin. It encourages collaboration across Planning, Public Works, and Parks and Recreation departments and supports local projects tailored to community needs, such as health ordinances and transportation safety initiatives. The integration of health in all policies is the best way to support a the health of all community members, especially those who are most vulnerable.
