Despite their shared goals, Child Protective Services (CPS) and domestic violence centers have different service philosophies and procedures that can come into conflict. Project S.A.F.E. was created in 2015 to test innovative strategies for cross-system collaboration; including joint training, designating liaisons to facilitate communication between agencies, and revising policy to promote coordinated service delivery. This brief outlines key lessons learned from the first year of Project S.A.F.E.
