Unpredictable and unstable work schedules for Starbucks workers leads to stress, exhaustion, and higher costs for workers. All levels of governments should work to ensure predictable and stable work schedules, adequate rest between shifts, immediate accrual of paid sick leave, guaranteed minimum hours, and flexible schedules responsive to employees' availability.
