Advancing Transportation Advocacy via Language Access

A lack of Spanish language resources for transportation advocacy in Los Angeles limits accessibility and community engagement. This report outlines the need for a standardized Spanish glossary with over 200 transportation planning and community engagement terms to empower Spanish-speaking communities. The glossary is tied to broader initiatives in community engagement and transportation safety and will be continuously updated based on community feedback and evolving needs. Developed with input from professionals and residents, this resource aims to improve communication and inclusivity in transportation planning.
