Black women's disproportionately experience low pay, ineffective health care, and our grossly unequal criminal justice system, reducing their health and economic outcomes. This report examines how these and other factors intersect to reproduce structural inequality and presents policies for improving outcomes such as increasing Ohio's minimum wage, increasing reimbursement rates for publicly funded childcare, expanding access to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, and applying a health equity lens to policymaking.
