This policy brief highlights the different ways call triage can be used to inform and dispatch community responders. While most jurisdictions will ultimately create multiple opportunities for calls to be triaged and directed to community responders, many will likely begin with one approach to call triage until more resources are available. This report details two approaches to triaging mental health emergency calls.
