Sub-minimum hourly wages for tipped workers disproportionately affects women of color and perpetuates racial disparities within the service industry. High Road Kitchens is program providing subsidies to restaurants and training to restaurants committed to racial equity and fair wages. This is part of a One Fair Wage's multiprong approach to creating socioeconomic equity: other strategies include mobilizing workers to advocate for fair wages, and changing the narrative to emphasize that ending racial inequality helps all workers.
