2022 Beacon Just Cause Eviction Local Law

This local law prohibits landlords from evicting tenants without a good cause. Legal grounds for eviction include nonpayment of rent, violation of the law, chronic nuisance, the landlord's desire to personally occupy the housing accommodation, and more. It also requires landlords to register their properties with the Building Department of the City of Beacon.
