Ohio's charter-closure law requires the automatic closure of charter schools that fail to meet academic standards. However. loopholes in the closure law allow sponsors and charter management organizations (CMOs) to keep failing schools open despite orders to close. This report discusses eight case studies that demonstrate the charter-closure law's loophole in action.
