Building Educational Pathways for a Strong Texas Future

Type Policy Brief or Report
Year 2020
Level City or Town, County, State
State(s) Texas
Policy Areas Education
By 2026, Texas aims to equip 60 percent of 25–34-year-olds with a high-quality degree or credential. Today, however, only 43.6 percent of residents are equipped with such a credential. High-quality programs at the secondary level help equip today’s students with the skills and experiences they will need to succeed in our economy tomorrow. Critical to this growth are partnerships between schools and local employers, developing expanded pre-apprenticeship programs, and support from local and state funding.
