Chicago Connected Communities Ordinance

The Connected Communities Ordinance is designed to stimulate equitable development near public transit, create jobs by encouraging investment near transit, make streets safer for pedestrians, and promotes affordable housing options near transit. This ordinance extends transit-oriented development incentives more equitably across the city, strengthens incentives for affordable units in in transit-oriented development (TOD) projects, and protects against the loss of 2-flats and 3-flats near transit in communities facing
