Party Time: Creating a New Party

The current U.S. political system is dominated by business interests, leading to low voter participation, significant income inequality, and inefficient government policies. This brief argues for building a 'New Party' (NP) within the existing Democratic Party, which would cross-endorse progressive candidates from major parties to maintain ballot status and exert influence. Tise NP would support unions and working people, aiming to address issues in health care, occupational safety, industrial policy, and would also focus on non-electoral activities such as education and mobilization.
