Local restaurants are struggling as big-third party delivery apps by charging large fees. This report profiles locally based restaurant meal delivery services and explores how policymakers can support these services. It recommends that local governments require delivery services to be transparent about their fees, encourage and support the development of locally based delivery services, and place a cap on the commissions and fees that third party delivery apps charge.
