No Room for Rent: Addressing Rising Rent Prices Through Public Investment and Public Power

This report urges policymakers to implement policies that tackle the rising cost of rent. In particular, states and cities should fund a major increase in the supply of affordable housing, adopt new forms of zoning regulation that can enable the increase in supply of affordable housing, and pursue rent stabilization policies.
