There is a common issue where communities may overlook the potential of their local businesses to contribute to economic growth. The guide seeks to bridge this gap by providing a systematic approach to mapping out businesses, identifying their capacities, and integrating them into community-building efforts. It has three parts: mapping community business assets, contacting businesses to explore their capacities, and introducing community building blocks. The guide also covers exploring and mobilizing business capacities for economic development initiatives.
