Community Coalition Celebrates Gains made in USC University Village Development Agreement

United Neighbors in Defense Against Displacement (UNIDAD) successfully advocated for community benefits to counteract displacement caused by the university expansion. UNIDAD secured substantial funding for affordable housing and tenants' rights clinics, as well as commitments to local and disadvantaged hiring for jobs associated with the project. Additionally, the coalition secured funding for job training, business support, and parks and green spaces.
