2013 Takoma Park Charter Amendment Resolution 2013-1 Expanding Voting Rights

This charter amendment is uniquely possible due to Maryland's State Statutes, which allow localities to lower the voting age. This amendment expands non-partisan voter registration, extends registration, allows same-day registration, permits individuals aged 16 and 17 to register and vote in municipal elections, and allows felons who have completed their custodial sentence to vote.
